Terms and Conditions
1. Introduction
Welcome to Storage Clay Cross. By booking and paying for a storage unit on our website, you (“the Tenant”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
2. Storage Agreement
- Storage units are rented on a monthly basis.
- There is no minimum or maximum contract length.
- By booking a unit, you enter into a rental agreement with Storage Clay Cross located at:
Furnace Hill Rd, Clay Cross, Chesterfield S45 9NF, United Kingdom.
3. Access to Units
- Tenants have 24/7 access to their storage unit.
- Staff are available onsite from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily.
- Our site is monitored by CCTV, and units are regularly maintained.
4. Use of Storage Units
Tenants must not store the following:
- Illegal or hazardous materials
- Perishables or food
- Firearms, explosives, or flammable items
- Any items likely to cause damage to the unit or surrounding property
Misuse or storing prohibited items will result in immediate termination and loss of deposit.
5. Insurance
Storage Clay Cross does not provide insurance for stored items. Tenants are responsible for arranging their own insurance.
6. Payments & Fees
- Payments are due monthly, in advance.
- Accepted payment method: Card only.
- A £200 security deposit is required at the start of the rental.
Late Payments & Non-Payment
- Late payments incur a £10 per day late fee.
- After 30 days of non-payment, the unit may be cleared and the deposit forfeited.
- Unclaimed items may be disposed of or sold at our discretion.
7. Termination
- Either party may terminate with 30 days’ written notice.
- No refunds are given for early termination.
8. Liability
Storage Clay Cross is not liable for theft, loss, or damage to items stored. Tenants store items at their own risk.
9. Website Bookings
- Storage units are booked and paid for online.
- Tenants must agree to these terms by checking the acceptance box before booking.
- Booking confirmation creates a legally binding rental agreement.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the UK courts.
